Every day is Halloween on this newsletter, but I realise this is the day most people celebrate.
I’m sure your feed is smothered with Halloween content like mine, but it would be freakish for a horror/writing newsletter to not post something (and also break my tradition of over twenty years) so here’s a short uplifting poem to see you through the night.
Whether You Like Light Or The Darkness
Wearing black, Doesn't make you a vampire, Liking graveyards, Doesn't make you a ghoul, Screaming into the night, Doesn't make you a banshee, Trust me, We all do that too. It's not the witches that curse us, It's not the wisps that mislead, Be a thing in the darkness all you wish, But still help those that are in need. Good and evil are abstract, Your gods are your choice, What matters is how we act, What matters is the monsters we fight. Be a demon against oppressors, Be an angel to those who love, Whether you like light or the darkness, Always offer the loving your love.
